RUN

The handover checklist most digital projects miss

A project is not finished when the final image is approved or the website opens. It is finished when the business can identify what was delivered, access what it owns and understand what happens next.

Confirm the agreed outcome

Start the handover with a short scope summary: what was requested, what was delivered and what remains outside the job. This prevents a finished project from turning into an unclear list of assumptions on both sides.

Return ownership and administrator access

Domains, websites, social pages, advertising accounts, cloud folders and business profiles should sit under accounts the business controls. Record who has administrator access and remove temporary access that is no longer needed.

Deliver usable files, not only previews

A preview image is not the same as a source file. The handover should identify final exports, editable files where included, print-ready versions, brand assets and the location of each item. File names should make sense six months later.

Document the next routine action

Write down what needs renewal, updating, filing, publishing or checking next. Include dates where they are known and identify whether M3Techs, the client or another provider owns that action.

Close with one plain-language record

The best handover is short enough to use. One page listing the result, access, files and next step is more valuable than a long technical document nobody will open.
